Why don’t you offer an altitude-switching feature?

We don’t recommend hypoxic switching (altitude contrast) for general wellness. It forces periods of oxygen deprivation, which can increase inflammation. Many people using EWOT—especially those with chronic health concerns or aging-related goals—tell us hypoxic switching is too harsh and can cause setbacks.

Exercise itself already creates vasodilation and a healthy hormetic response, so adding more stress is not always beneficial.

For athletes who want a performance boost, you can mimic the benefits by doing brief breath-holds during EWOT (5–7 seconds every minute). This is simpler and safer than using a mechanical switching system while exercising.
